Over the past seven years, Godfather's Pizza franchisees Rudy and Margaret Thibodeau have opened three traditional units in the Minnesota area. In addition to offering dine-in, carryout, and delivery services, each location also offers lunch and dinner buffet.

Focused on quality
Rudy explained that they ultimately chose the Godfather's Pizza brand because of the quality of the product. The market place is currently saturated with many pizza restaurants that focus on low price and not the quality of the product, he said. "The Godfather's Pizza product is comprised of fresh dough, fresh cheese, fresh vegetables and quality meats," he said. "The reputation of Godfather's Pizza combined with the other product lines gives us a unique selling position in our markets."

First class support
"The support organization at Godfather's Pizza is first class," Rudy said. "I don't think I have ever met anyone there who is not helpful." According to Rudy, it is this support combined with an excellent training program that has helped him make his restaurants successful.

Food for thought
Rudy's advice to potential franchisees is simple. Focus on the quality of the product and don't get drawn into the price wars. "We simply strive to sell the best product in our market and price accordingly," he said.
